Learning - This site features good basic information about a number
of different vertebrates. The animal printouts found at the site are
particularly nice.
- Vertebrate
Animal Hotlist - This site features information about specific animals.
Check the list to see if your animal is there.
- The
Wild Animal Reserve: Contains information about "The Wild Animal
Reserve. Topics are found on mammals, reptiles, birds and other useful
information. Helpful hints and children games are included.
- Natural
History Notebooks - This site features a lot of information about
various vertebrates. The graphics for each animal are very nice.
- Animal
Diversity Web - Browse the different animal Kingdoms to find a vertebrate.
Then, use the various "tabs" you find on the page to look
for information (the "Pictures" tab is a good place to start).
This is an interesting site because you can even "listen"
to many of the vertebrates.
- Desert
Animals and Wildlife - This site offers hundreds of species of mammals,
insects, birds and reptiles that live in the deserts.
- Smithsonian
Vertebrate Zoology - This site has interesting information that
is a little challenging to read. You may want to ask your teacher or
parents to help you understand some of the information found at the
site.
